HE AND SHE
She came to him wide eyed
Seeking nothing in return
But just the understanding
Of how often she'd been burned
Burned by those she would only love
Who wronged her from the start
He looked at her in wonder
And offered his poet's heart
He is her inspiration
Her reason to love again
He reads the words to him she writes
And answers her with his pen
She sings her songs of love rejoice
For so long she sang the blues
But now she sings of happier days
Since she's found her heart renewed

Hers
He touched her heart with every word
his verse, her heartbeat, softly heard
echoes, haunts and longing still
to know his love, yet unfulfilled.
To hold him to her breast once more
to dream the dream, forevermore
lovers lost to raging seas
restless spirits, unappeased.
They pass each other time to time
heartbeats thunder, hers and mine
he her knight and she became
his cause to live and love again.
She'll read his verse and wonder still
for whom he writes, for whom he quills
his rendered verse, impassioned words
he pens will always, be for her.....
